CONCLUSION

The All-Important Question

I am no expert on the Bible. In fact, there are no experts on the Bible. As the Apostle Paul taught us in Romans 11:33, the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God found on the pages of sacred Scripture are both unsearchable and inscrutable. No man will ever exhaust the Bible’s sacred and inexhaustible text nor mine all of its inestimable riches.

Whereas our quest for Bible knowledge should be lifelong and never waning, mastery of the Bible is an unattainable aspiration. What we should aspire to, however, is not our mastery of the Bible, but the Bible’s mastery of us. We should aspire to be governed by the Bible in all our thoughts, words, and actions.

Although I readily admit that I’m no expert on the Bible, I unashamedly acknowledge that I am most passionate about it. I’ve spent my life diligently studying it and wholeheartedly devoted to sharing it. Furthermore, I would not exchange my life’s pursuit for any other pursuit of life, having learned the invaluable lesson that truth is the only thing worth living and dying for.

When it comes to the truth, I believe it is found in the Bible and that the Bible is true. I believe it says what it means and means what it says. I do not believe its "Thou shalt not" or its "Thus saith the Lord" are negotiable or open to interpretation. Neither do I believe that Christ's claim to be "the Way," the only way to God, is optional. Instead, I believe it is obligatory, obliterating all man-made religions and their made-up gods.

I believe the Bible must be received or rejected; it cannot be revised. It is either all God’s Word or not God's Word at all. Although all men have the God-given right to either adore or abhor it, no man has the right to alter it, and all men will answer to God for what they do with it. The all-important question is: What will you do with the Bible?
