THE BIBLE: THE BOOK OF BOOKS
How did we get the Bible? When, where, and by whom was the Bible written? How was the Bible copied, translated, and preserved through the centuries? How and when was the canon of Scripture put together? What proof do we have of the Bible's incredible claim to be the divinely inspired, inerrant, and infallible written revelation of God to man? What unprecedented influence has the Bible had upon our world? This book answers these important questions and many more.
Truly, the story of the Scripture is a most spectacular one. As Sir Fredrick Kenyon, the former Director and Principle Librarian of the British Museum, once said: "The Bible has a human history as well as a divine inspiration. It is a history full of interest, and it is one which all those who value their Bible should know, at least in outline, if only that they may be able to meet the criticisms of skeptics and the ignorant." It is our sincere hope and earnest prayer that this book will prove to you, the reader, both informative and inspirational, inspiring in you a lifelong appreciation for the Bible, the most incredible book that has ever been written!
FIRST STEPS
This little book covers big subjects! It teaches you how to become a Christian, how to start your Christian life, and how to be sure you are a Christian. It is a great tool for witnessing to your lost loved ones, friends, and acquaintances. It also addresses and solves one of the most common concerns Christians struggle with—doubting one's salvation. Here, you will learn how to be sure of your salvation and how to rid yourself once and for all of any doubts about it.
THE KING OF HEARTS
This book teaches The Simplicity of Living in the Spirit. It is as simple as following the dictates of your heart; that is, the still, small voice of the indwelling Christ, who is enthroned in your heart as the Lord of your life in the person of the Holy Spirit. Of all the books I've written, this is my personal favorite, since I believe it to be critical to the Christian who wants to live the abundant, victorious, Spirit-filled, Christian life!
BAPTISM
Although baptism is not necessary for salvation, it is the proof a new convert is commanded by Christ to offer as pubic confirmation of their Christian confession. Many contemporary "Christians" take a nonchalant attitude toward baptism, arguing that since it is not necessary for salvation its observance is optional. However, such a flippant take on this first step commanded by Christ to be taken in our Christian lives is cause for concern over the Christian confession of any unbaptized individual. This book not only teaches the importance of baptism, but addresses heretical teachings concerning it as well, such as baptismal regeneration, infant baptism, and baptism for the dead. If you would like a thorough examination of this important Christian doctrine and Christ commissioned church ordinance, this book is for you.
THE IMPRECATORY PSALMS
The Psalms contain a plethora of imprecatory prayers, which are prayers that imprecate or invoke damnation, judgment, calamity, or curses upon the enemies of God and God’s people. Contrary to popular opinion, present-day Christians are not prohibited from praying imprecatory prayers, but may actually find them to be of utmost importance in the waging of spiritual warfare in the perilous times of these last days.
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT WAR
Does the Bible teach pacifism? Was Jesus a pacifist? Should all Christians be conscientious objectors, refusing to serve in our nation’s military and to fight in a war? This little book teaches you what the Bible really says about war?
THE PURSUIT OF HOLINESS
According to the Scripture, holiness is not something we must try to procure, but something we already possess. Having been separated from the world by God and set apart for Christ, you and I are already holy. Our holiness has nothing to do with anything we do, but everything to do with what Christ has done for us. It is not ours because we have earned it from God. Instead, it is ours because of God's gracious election of us. Wheres the pursuit of holiness commences with our commitment to Christ, its lifelong pursuit continues as we daily cultivate a personal relationship with God. Our progress in this most worthy pursuit will be in direct proportion to the amount of time we spend in God's presence. The more time we spend in God's presence, the more prevalent God's power will become in our lives and the more and more apparent our holiness will become to others. To learn more read this important little book on one of the Bible's biggest and most important subjects.
THE SABBATH
Why do Christians observe the "Lord's Day" (Saturday) rather than the "Sabbath Day" (Sunday)? Are we in violation of the Fourth Commandment by doing so? Of what was the Sabbath a sign? How has the coming of Christ brought us out of the shadow of the Sabbath and into its substance? And how do we enter into God's promised rest today? The answers to these important questions are found in this little book.
THE ARK OF THE COVENANT
The Ark of the Covenant, like everything else in the tabernacle or temple, symbolized Christ. It was meant to: (1) picture Christ (2) point men to Christ, and (3) prepare men for Christ’s coming. The ark’s true spiritual significance is found in its symbolism of our salvation in Christ, a significance that now pales in comparison to the Christian’s possession of the substance (Christ) of which the ark was nothing more than a mere shadow.
THE UNPARDONABLE SIN
Is God’s patience inexhaustible? Is it possible to pass a point of no return with God? Can the sinner come to Christ anytime he or she takes a notion? Is salvation to be had whenever the sinners says, or is it only possible when God says so? Is there an unpardonable sin? If so, what is it and how is it committed? The Scriptural answers to these solemn questions are answered in this booklet: The Unpardonable Sin.
INTERCESSORY PRAYER
Samuel Chadwick once wrote: "The concern of the devil is to keep saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, he mocks at our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray." No form of prayer is more feared by the devil than intercessory prayer. Unfortunately, the art of intercessory prayer is almost a lost art in the contemporary church, which goes a long way in explaining its impotence to impact a world ever-growing increasingly antichrist. Are you a brave heart willing to kneel under the mantle of intercessory prayer and engage the enemy in the most intense prayer warfare?
WHERE DID CAIN GET HIS WIFE?
Here's the answer to the atheist's favorite Bible question: Where did Cain get his wife? Instead of a silver bullet shot through the heart of the Scripture by skeptics, this question, like all others posed by Bible-bashers, is easily proven to be nothing more than a blank cartridge.
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT THE AGE OF THE EARTH
How can a Christian answer the evolutionist's argument for an ancient earth? Has so-called science disproved the young earth contention of the Genesis account of creation, or does the Bible actually disprove today's so-called science, by pulling out from under it the very presumptions that prop it up and by which it is allegedly proven? This little book answers these big questions.
ENMITY
The Bible begins with God's prediction of enmity between the seed of the serpent, the children of the devil, and the seed of the woman, the children of God (Genesis 3:15). Unfortunately, the contemporary church is blind to this fallen world’s extreme enmity toward God. Consequently, it is guilty of a great gullibility; namely, that this Christ-hating world can be won to Christ with a more tactful Gospel presentation and the latest Madison Avenue marketing techniques. As a result of being so spiritually snookered, the contemporary church witlessly waves olive branches at antichrists who are dedicated to its extermination. It's high time that today's church woke up to the fact that a world at enmity with God cannot be won to Christ by the power of our persuasion, but only by the power of God.
METHUSELAH: THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES
The fact that end-time prophecy is figured out over time and becomes clearer as time goes by is clearly taught to us in Scripture, as is even attested to by the unusual name of the oldest man in the Bible.
THE TOWER OF BABEL
In Genesis chapter 11, we are told the biblical story of the Tower of Babel. At first glance, this story may appear on the surface to be little more than a good story to tell our children in Sunday School. However, if you take the time to dive beneath the surface and to plunge down into the depths of the profound insights this story provides, you will find yourself enlightened about all of the dark goings-on in this fallen world, those that have happened in the past, those that are happening in the present, and those that the Bible predicts will happen in the future.
THE BABEL EFFECT
Thanks to God’s built in dividers, fallen humanity has no hope of ever uniting again to construct another Tower of Babel; that is, to build a worldwide utopia. Though driven by an unseen force to incessantly try, man is destined to fail in his ill-fated attempts at creating his own heaven on earth. Not only is his failure assured by a myriad of different languages and dialects, but also by additional divisions imposed upon humanity by divinity; such as: continents (1 Chronicles 1:19), countries, culture, and race. While viewed by the world as evils to be overcome, these divinely imposed barriers to worldwide unanimity are actually God’s way of keeping the world from accomplishing unspeakable evil (Genesis 11:6-9).
Undoubtedly, many will be disturbed by our insistence that divinely imposed barriers, what may be called the “Babel effect,” have rendered fallen humanity incapable of unity. Yet, it is hard to argue with all of the indisputable evidence collected from thousands of years of recorded history. The annals of human history are so littered with the bones of humanity’s failed attempts at unanimity that no one can seriously argue for its possibility in our present-day end-time world.
BABYLON
The first mention of an earthly kingdom in the Bible is at Babel, which we are told was located on “a plain in the land of Shinar” (Genesis 11:2). This region, later known as Babylonia or Mesopotamia, has been called the “Cradle of Civilization.” It was here that the Garden of Eden was found and that human civilization originated, a fact attested to by all reputable archeologists and historians. It was also here, at Babel, that Nimrod, the earth's earliest post-flood rebel, began his mutiny against Deity, by leading fallen man’s initial attempt, in both defiance of God and in total independence from God, to build his own heaven on earth and his own way into Heaven. As the site of man’s original sin and expulsion from Eden, as well as the incubator of fallen man’s aspirations toward manmade utopia, this strategic spot carries great symbolic significance in Scripture. Throughout the the rest of the Bible, Babel, and subsequently Babylon, symbolize the kingdom of this world, which is the scriptural nemesis of the Kingdom of Heaven.
AMERICA'S DESTROYED FOUNDATIONS
In Psalm 11:3, the psalmist asked, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” The frightening answer to the psalmist’s question is: “Nothing.” There is nothing anyone can do once the foundations are destroyed. Once the foundations are destroyed, the structure is beyond repair; its inevitable collapse is assured.
Each year on the fourth of July America celebrates Independence Day, the birthday of our nation. On July 4, 1776, representatives of the original states signed the Declaration of Independence. This central document of American history, which has been called our nation’s birth certificate, is the foundational document of our country. It espouses the foundational truths or principles upon which our country was founded.
Beginning in the 1960s, the foundational truths laid by the Declaration of Independence have been incrementally and systematically pulled out from under our nation. Today, none remain; America’s foundations are destroyed. Our nation is therefore beyond repair. There is nothing we can do to save America, for our inevitable collapse is now assured.
PSALM 51: THE REAL SINNER'S PRAYER
Psalm 51 is the consummate example of the passionate prayer of a penitent sinner who knows the impossibility of his salvation apart from the divine intervention of a miracle-working and merciful God. Contrary to popular opinion, salvation is not a mere human decision, but a stupendous miracle of God. It requires much more than nodding one’s head to the propositional truths of a gospel presentation and simply repeating the “sinner’s prayer” after some well-meaning soul winner. Instead, it requires God-given repentance, which alone can turn sinners from sin with broken hearts and to the Savior with all their hearts. Then, and only then, can the real sinner's prayer be prayed for the soul's salvation. This book provides the reader with thirty-one daily devotions on Psalm 51—The Real Sinner's Prayer.
